About WBJEE
WBJEE 2025 - The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination also known abbreviated WBJEE is a competitive entrance exam that is conducted in the West Bengal state under the West Bengal government to determine the efficiency or eligibility of candidates for admission at various private and governmental institutions in the field of medical, engineering and technological curriculums. The board conducts an Entrance exam to provide quality education and it also intends to evaluate the educational standard through the competitive exam in the state.
The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) was set up on March 2, 1962, by the Government of West Bengal.
The Board has the potential to conduct common, combined, competitive, entrance examinations for admission to the undergraduate professional and vocational courses in any private/governmental Colleges or any Universities in the State of West Bengal.
In the initial stage, willing candidates who want to get admission to undergraduate professional and vocational courses in any private/governmental Colleges or institutions are mandatory to apply through an online process for the exam.
WBJEE 2025: Online Application Process Started - You Need to Know in Detail
The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) registration process is to start tentatively from the last week of December 2025. The application process for the examination will be started shortly.
However, students who are going to appear in the exam to take admission for undergraduate courses in Engineering & Technology, Pharmacy and Architecture in Universities, Government Colleges, and Self-Financed Institutes in West Bengal state, can apply now by entering the correct and required details. The examination will be conducted on the last Week of April 2025. The admit card for the entrance exam is likely to be announced in March 2025.
But, there is no announcement date of the result scheduled till now. The declaration date of result for the WBJEE 2023 will be released later. he entrance exam will be held by offline mode for two papers- the subject Mathematics will consist of paper I while Physics and Chemistry will be comprised in paper-II.
Candidates who will appear in both Paper-I and Paper-II and acquire the best rank in both papers are eligible to take admission in Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture/ Pharmacy Courses in all institutes, while candidates who will appear for only paper–II and will get Pharmacy Merit Rank (PMR), are eligible for admission only in Pharmacy Courses. Candidates belonging to the general category will have to pay Rs. 700 as the application fee while Rs. 500 will have to pay for SC/ST/OBC category candidates.
The Mission of the Exam
The exam strongly indicates that the candidate looking for undergraduate-based admission in a Government College in the State needs to ace the exam as per the official norms.
Candidates are shortlisted based on the score/merit of the entrance exam. Over the entrance exam, candidates are shortlisted. Shortlisted candidates are called at college/university to appear in a written ability test, group discussion, and personal interview.
After successful completion of all processes of the final admission, candidates are considered to admission at the college.
