Minimum Eligibility / Educational Efficiencies – The academic eligibility to be part of the entrance exam, a candidate must have a minimum education efficiencies class 10th with minimum marks 35% from science stream (PCM).
Age Limitation – Only Minimum age for engineering branch is 17 years till 1/7/2023 while maximum age for any other branch is not specified.
Residential Proof – Candidates must have a permanent resident of Jharkhand state which residential certificate will have also issued by a proper authority assigned by Government of Jharkhand.
Reservation – According to the ‘RESERVATION POLICY’ of Govt. of Jharkhand, Candidates who belong to Jharkhand and have local residential certificate & caste certificate which should be issued by Government of Jharkhand can sure get the reservation in all courses of Government and Private Polytechnic Institutes/colleges in Jharkhand State.
Age limit criteria – Aspirants must have an age of 17 years before the admission.
Selection procedure- Candidates are selected for the Polytechnic Admission on the basis of performance in merit test of the entrance exam.
Syllabus- The questions will be available in both English and Hindi languages in the competitive entrance exam wherein candidates will be asked with the objective and multiple-choice questions.
Jharkhand Polytechnic Application Process 2023
Applicants who have an aspiration to enter in the respective entrance examination are mandatory to fill the application correctly at first by online mode with application fee under scheduled date of registration. Candidates can pay the application fee to the Board through net banking or e-challan which fee has been scheduled by the Board.

If students could not register their application within scheduled date can also register their application with late fine which dates will be also declared.
Just after submission of the application form, declaration date of admit card to be announced which candidates are mandatory to download the admit card wherein exam dates, exam centre, and shifts are mentioned.
Candidates can download JCECEB Admit card by online mode using required details i.e. date of birth and application numbers through the help of important steps on the JCECEB’s official website- jceceb.jharkhand.gov.in.
Application fees are varied for different polytechnic colleges which are scheduled by institution or college. Although, Application fee for the General category, backward caste-1/ backward caste-2 has been scheduled at Rs. 650/- while at Rs. 325/-has been scheduled for the scheduled caste and scheduled tribe candidates.
Students who have participated in the test are shortlisted on the basis of merit/score of the entrance exam. Shortlisted candidates are invited to couselling at the respective colleges or institutions. Candidates are mandatory to appear in the written ability test and personal interview. After completion of all process, candidates are determined to admission.
There are two types of questions asked in the entrance exam one of them is Objective and second is Multiple Choice. All those questions shall be in Hindi & English versions.
