JEE Main 2024 : The Joint Entrance Exam is India's most plausible and toughest exam for engineering admission 2024. Eligibility for JEE Main 2024

In order to appear in the JEE (Main) - 2024, there is no age limit for the aspiring candidates. The candidates who have passed the class 12th or equivalent examination in 2022, 2023, or appearing in 2024 irrespective of their age can appear in JEE (Main) - 2024 examination. However, the candidates may be required to furnish the age criteria of the Institute(s) in which they want to get admission for the current year.

Note: There are approx. 10% marks relaxations for SC/ST candidates; if they have 65% in the 12th class examination will be eligible to apply JEE Main Form.

List of Qualifying Examinations for JEE Main 2024

1. The candidates who are planning to appear in the JEE Main 2024 are reminded that the final examination of the class 10+2 should be conducted by any recognized Central/ State Board, such as the CBSE, New Delhi, ICSE, New Delhi or others.
2. Intermediate/2-year Pre-University examination should be conducted by a recognized Board/ University.
3. Final examination of the 2-year course of the Joint Services Wing of the National Defence will be also considered to be eligible for JEE Main 2024.
4. Senior Secondary School (SSS) Examination conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling with a minimum of 5 subjects.
5. Any Public School/ Board/ University examination in India or any foreign country is recognized as equivalent to the 10+2 system by the Association of Indian Universities.
6. Higher Secondary Certificate Vocational/Professional Examination from a valid institution.
7. One who has done a Diploma from AICTE or a State board of technical education of at least 3 years duration is also eligible for JEE Main 2024.
8. General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London/Cambridge/Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level.
9. Candidates who have completed the Class 12 or equivalent examination outside India or from a Board not specified above should produce a certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) to the effect that the examination they have passed is equivalent to the Class 12 Examination.
10. In case the 12th examination is not a public examination, the candidate must have passed at least one public (Board or Pre-University) examination earlier.
