About Us

Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women also known as IGDTUW is a government university that was established in 1998 as the Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology at Church Rd, Kashmere Gate of the national capital New Delhi by Directorate of Training and Technical Education, Govt of N.C.T of Delhi. It was India’s first woman Engineering College which has got affiliation by University Grant Commission (UGC) and approved with All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

The IGDTUW was set up with the intent to facilitate and promote studies, research, technology, innovation, incubation and extension work in areas of professional education among women, with focus on engineering, technology, and management to achieve excellence.

The university offers B.Tech, M.Tech, PhD programs in four branches of engineering like Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical and Automation Engineering and Information Technology.

Facilities: Facilities such as library, laboratory, class rooms, hostels (Boys & Girls), gym, playground, transportation, Wi-Fi and canteen are available at the college campus.
