Himalayan Institute of Engineering and Technology Sirmour is a private college that was established in the year 2009. It is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi (AICTE) and affiliated with Himachal Pradesh Technical University, Hamirpur.

Admission Criteria:
Students should be passed the 10+2 (Intermediate) examination with Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Computer Science/, Electronics, Information Technology, Biology, Informatics Practices, Biotechnology, Technical Vocational subject, Agriculture, Engineering Graphics, and Business Studies. Any of the three subjects obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks for Scheduled Caste students/candidates).
