About Us

Government Model Engineering College, Thrikkakara is a Government College that was established in 1989 by the Govt. of Kerala under the Institute of Human Resource Development (IHRD). The campus of this college is spread over a green lush area which gives students fresh air. 

GMEC Thrikkakara is one of the first colleges to acquire affiliation from the Cochin University of Science and Technology(CUSAT). It is situated at Thrikkakara, Kochi, Kerala. 

Government Model Engineering College, Thrikkakara is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education(AICTE), New Delhi, and affiliated with A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University(AKTU), Kerala.

Admission Criteria:-
Allotment to 95% of seats of the annual intake is made by the Commissioner for Entrance Examination (CEE), Government of Kerala from the rank list of Kerala Engineering Entrance Examination conducted every year by the Government of Kerala.
