This college is affiliated with Aryabhatta Knowledge University, Patna. and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.

Government Engineering College, Kaimur is spread over 20 Acres in Kaimur with a total intake of 240 and 60 students per branch in Civil Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical engineering, and Electrical Engineering.
